Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Boxing champion and the third highest paid athlete in the US, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been arrested over charges of domestic violence, robbery, theft and coercion in addition to battery and harassment. If convicted on all the charges the 33 year old boxer could spend more than 30 years in prison.

Floyd Mayweather, who lives in Las Vegas was picked up from Josie Harris’s house last week after he beat her up and took her phone when she found him in the house last Friday. He even threatened his three children. Harris, Mayweather’s ex-partner was admitted to a local medical facility for minor face and arm injuries.

A few weeks ago, Mayweather released a homophobic and racist video directed at Pacquiao. Legal action was taken against him for that incident as well. The domestic violence case happened soon after on 9 September.

In the meantime, Mayweather has been released on a bail that cost him US $3,000. Mayweather’s lawyer commented that “if [the charges] are based on the same incidents in the [police] report it’s kind of a bombastic characterisation”.

Floyd Mayweather Jr’s arraignment is scheduled on 9 November.

**Wow is all I can say...can't wait to see what this brings**
